レチノールはEUと米国で規制が異なりますか?
はい。EUではレチノール濃度が顔製品0.3%、体製品0.05%に制限されており、3歳未満向け製品への使用も禁止されています。米国ではOTC化粧品としてのレチノール濃度上限は設定されていませんが、一般的には忍容性の観点から1%以下で処方されます。処方箋が必要なレチノイン酸(トレチノイン)はどちらの市場でも医薬品規制の対象です。
